Municibid has recently upgraded how we process buyer's fee payments in order to provide a more secure and reliable experience for our bidders.
As part of this update, all saved credit cards were removed from bidding accounts. If you plan to bid on upcoming auctions, you'll need to add your credit card again before placing a bid.
What changed?
As of February 6, 2026, Municibid transitioned to Stripe as our buyer's fee payment processor. Stripe is a widely used, industry-leading payment platform trusted by millions of businesses worldwide.
This change improves:
• Payment security
• Reliability during bidding and payment
• Overall payment experience
Why was my saved card removed?
For security reasons, saved credit card information could not be carried over to the new payment system. As a result, all previously saved cards were deleted during the transition.
What do I need to do?
Before you can place a bid, you'll need to add a credit card back to your account.
To add your card:
1. Log in to your Municibid account
2. Go to My Municibid → Dashboard
3. Select Credit Cards under Account in the left-hand menu
You can also go directly to the Credit Cards page here: https://municibid.com/Account/CreditCards
Once your card is added, you'll be able to bid as usual.
What's not changing?
• This update only affects buyer's fee payments
• There are no changes to how auction item payments are handled at this time
• No other account information was impacted
